The global Corona Virus lock-down order has created a serious financial threat to so many poor families all over the world. One Korean missionary to India recently wrote me that many have responded to his appeal to support an Indian family with food for one month for $45. This benevolence on the part of Korean Christians motivated the Indian churches of his region to begin to support their fellow countrymen with food.
Less than one percent of the population of Cambodia is Christian; therefore, Cambodian pastors are poor. Most pastors must work daily to support their own families and churches. Since they have been unable to work during the lockdown, providing food for their families has been extremely difficult. In order to support these pastors, DCMi’s board has decided to supply rice and fish sauce (essential Cambodian diet) to some poor pastoral leaders. Since this was a significant event, even the governor of the Banteay Meanchey province attended the distribution ceremony and distributed the food in the name of the church. This was broadcast by the TV news. We were not expecting the governor or the TV news to be involved, but we believed God would want us to help provide for our ministry partners in Cambodia. https://www.facebook.com/TVKBMC.Cambodia/videos/vb.1014672315384503/720048318767703/?type=2&theater
It is obvious that we cannot feed all Christians and pastors living on the mission fields. However, we can try to meet the physical needs of those who are asking DCMi for help at least once. If you would like to help supply food for these poor Christians of the mission fields, please send your gift via the link below.
