Dear Friends,                                                                                          October 25, 2019

“Organizations win by 25% of individual member’s ability and 75% of teamwork.”  Over a month ago, at the Luis’ Palau’s Next Generation Alliance Conference, we made a significant decision to change the way DCMi operates so that it will be led by a team.  We have already begun this process and I cannot wait to see our team become much more effective and systematic in achieving our mission that is to “Reach People, Teach Leaders, and Transform Nations.”

This conference not only blessed my team but also blessed me personally.  Since I first heard of Luis Palau’s crusade in 1982 where 800,000 gathered to hear his message, I have been inspired by Luis’ message and personal example.  He inspired me again as a veteran evangelist in his mid-80s with terminal cancer.  He said, “They often say that there are three temptations that evangelists must overcome—power, money, and sex.  But I would like to add one more to it—Temptation to quit.”  I was touched by this statement because there have been times when I have been tempted to quit.

On October 28th, I depart Seattle for India.  The following is my November schedule:

Church leaders will come from more than 180 countries to Jakarta, Indonesia to participate in the WEA General Assembly 2019.  It will be a time when leaders discern not only what a decade of disciple-making (2020-2030) should look like, but the quality of leadership that is required.  We will re-examine, re-align and re-commit ourselves to the necessary mindset, processes and structures to fulfill the Great Commission in our generation and the next.  In Cambodia, church leaders of the Banteay Meanchey Province will come together to finalize their discussion regarding hosting DCMi for a gospel festival in their capital Sisophon next year.  Please pray for safe and fruitful travel.  May God’s will be done through all these meetings and conferences.  For more information, please click the following link: http://dcmi.org

Praise God that the results of my most recent blood test showed no active inflammation in my body.  Thank you for your prayers and concerns.
