I was originally scheduled fly to leave the US on March 8th to fly through Korea to India. My plans were to continue to Cambodia and then wrap-up my travels in South Korea. When I made my plans, no one was thinking about coronavirus, but that has obviously changed in the past month. I have postponed by trips to India and South Korea. Instead, I am now at the Taipei International Airport (Taiwan) waiting for my connecting flight to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
With DCMi’s financial support the festival executive committee members are in the process of visiting all 9 districts of the Banteay Meanchey Province. They are building relationships with the church association leaders in each district so that they can involve every church of every district in the gospel festival. There has been conflict among these various districts in the past, but by God’s grace they are now coming together in a spirit of cooperation to bring the gospel to their regions. Two government officials are also traveling with these committee members to give these churches permits for our evangelistic ministry. I can already see manifestations of how these Killing Fields being transformed into Harvest Fields!
Next week I will officially kick off our gospel festival preparation by holding a leadership conference and prayer meetings in Sisophon, the capital of the Banteay Meanchey Province. I will also travel to three different districts to pray with prominent church leaders of these districts and preach at revival meetings. Please pray that the Lord will give us a movement of prayer.
Thank you for joining me in prayer for God’s harvest in Cambodia and for my health and safety during this unprecedented coronavirus situation.
Together for Harvest,
PS. I am not sick or anything. Since everybody is wearing a face mask, I decided to put one on at least while at the Taipein International Airport.
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the LORD's people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that
I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains.
Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should" (Eph. 6:18-20).
